Softball Recap: Somerville Finds Home Field Redemption Against Snook

There's no place like home for Somerville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against the Snook Bluejays on Tuesday as the Somerville Yeguas made off with a 12-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Yeguas, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Audrey Schoenburg, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Kovasovic, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

With the victory, Somerville broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-9. As for Snook, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-1 record this season.

Somerville will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Zulch at 6:00 p.m. on March 21st. As for Snook, they will face off against Brazos at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Snook is facing Brazos at the right time seeing as Brazos is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
