The Provo Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Ridgeline Riverhawks at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Ridgeline will be up against a hot Provo squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Provo was the clear victor by an 11-5 margin over Uintah on Wednesday. With that win, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Jackson Sharpe looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Malachi Aulava and Dawson Moore did most of the damage at the plate: Aulava went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Moore went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four hits gave Moore a new career-high. Davis Maughan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Provo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Ridgeline never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against Logan as Ridgeline made off with a 15-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Riverhawks.
Cael Kidman and Sam Swan made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Kidman tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Swan tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Kidman has allowed since back in May of 2024. At the plate, Kidman scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Swan got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Clark, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Brady Cook, who scored two runs while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.
Provo's record now sits at 8-5. As for Ridgeline, their record now sits at 11-2.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Provo has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .435. However, it's not like Ridgeline struggles in that department as they've averaged .498. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Provo might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Ridgeline when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Provo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
