New Albany is a perfect 10-0 against Jeffersonville since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. New Albany will have to keep a close watch on Mattie Barker and Samantha Dues, a pair of players who had a big impact on Jeffersonville's prior game. Barker had 16 digs and six assists, while Dues had five digs and four aces. Barker is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.
New Albany's record now sits at 20-10. As for Jeffersonville, their record is now 7-20.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's contest: New Albany hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 4.7 blocks per game. It's a different story for Jeffersonville, though, as they've been averaging only 0.6 blocks. Given New Albany's sizable advantage in that area, the Red Devils will need to find a way to close that gap.
New Albany took their victory against Jeffersonville when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
