Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Karlee Mayfield, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and four steals. Mayfield has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played. Kaylee Hess was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with two steals.
Even though they lost, Northridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Box Elder only pulled down three offensive rebounds.
Box Elder is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Northridge, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.
Box Elder will take on Olympus at 9:10 p.m. on Saturday. Box Elder is coming into the match with six straight wins on the road, so Olympus will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Northridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
