Evangel Christian Academy will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Cripple Creek-Victor on Thursday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Pioneers. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

In other batting news, Levi Alexander was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Josiah Ochoa was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

On the hitting side, Byers saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Bennett, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
