Monday just wasn't the day for Central Magnet's offense. They lost 10-0 to White House on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, Central Magnet's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lawrence County challenged Columbia Central on Thursday. The Wildcats came up short against the Lions, falling 16-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since April 4th.

Alex Bedford made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Lawrence County: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 10-13 otherwise.

Central Magnet's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-14. As for Lawrence County, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-14.

Central Magnet's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's game. Central Magnet has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Lawrence County, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Central Magnet continue to outrun the ball?

Central Magnet suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Lawrence County in their previous meeting on April 1st. Can Central Magnet avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
