 On Miami Christian's side,  Willy Mendez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-4 with a  triple and a  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Ronny Cruz, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Mater Lakes Academy now  has a winning record of 10-9. As for Miami Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.
 Mater Lakes Academy will head out on the road to  take on  JC Bermudez Doral at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. JC Bermudez Doral is coming into the  contest with three straight  wins at home,  so Mater Lakes Academy will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum. As for Miami Christian, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Belen Jesuit at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Belen Jesuit will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  victory, something Miami Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
