The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Randolph Southern in their matchups with Eastern Hancock: they've now lost six in a row.
Randolph Southern lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alyssa Allen, who scored eight points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Haileigh Allen, who scored ten points.
Randolph Southern struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Eastern Hancock was led to victory by Sammie Bolding and McKenzie Koch. Bolding scored 24 points along with two steals, while Koch scored 19 points along with seven assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bolding has scored all season. Ruby White was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Randolph Southern has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season. As for Eastern Hancock, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-1.
Randolph Southern will head out on the road to square off against Anderson Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Anderson Prep Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Eastern Hancock, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tri at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tri is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
