Williston hasn't had much luck against Trenton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mighty Red Devils will square off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Williston is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Williston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Marathon by a score of 9-4.
Jacob Hassell looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Harlan Cole was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Will Conquest was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trenton). They never let Dixie County get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won nine in a row.
Jackson Lee was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Pierson Weatherilt, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Trenton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matchups.
Williston's record is now 18-11. As for Trenton, their record now sits at 20-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Williston has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Trenton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Williston suffered a grim 12-3 defeat to Trenton when the teams last played back in April. Can the Mighty Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
