The Anderson Raptors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 52-30 defeat at the hands of West Clermont. Anderson has not had much luck with West Clermont recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
West Clermont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taylor Schmidt led the charge by scoring ten points along with five assists and four steals. Schmidt hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Paige Rodriguez, who scored 18 points.
Anderson bumped their record down to 2-14 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road. As for West Clermont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
Anderson will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Walnut Hills at 7:00 p.m. Walnut Hills presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Anderson in Ohio (Walnut Hills is ranked 86th, while Anderson is ranked 527th). As for West Clermont, they will head out on the road to challenge Kings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
