The Heartland Christian Saints won the last time they faced the Laurel Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Heartland Christian took down the Panthers 48-34. Heartland Christian pushed the score to 42-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.
Heartland Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reagan Clemens out in front who scored 20 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clemens has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Landon Clemens, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Heartland Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Laurel, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.
Heartland Christian and the Grizzlies will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Legacy Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. As for Laurel, they will head out on the road to square off against the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Columbus HomeSchool's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 matches.
