Even though the Institute of Tech Eagles scored an imposing 76 points on Friday, the Chittenango Bears still came out on top. Chittenango walked away with an 83-76 victory over Institute of Tech. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Chittenango also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Ryan Moesch was his usual excellent self, scoring 42 points along with eight assists and four steals. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Chittenango's points. Another player making a difference was Brendon Barnard, who scored 20 points along with two steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Chittenango and bumps their season record up to 9-4. As for Institute of Tech, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chittenango will challenge Westhill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westhill is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for Institute of Tech, they will head out on the road to take on Homer at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Homer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 500th, while Institute of Tech is ranked 171st).
