Jesse Alcazar threw for 121 yards and a touchdown. Rafael Munguia was his top target, rushing for 12 yards.
Laton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Greer, who rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns.
Alpaugh's defeat was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.6 points per game. As for Laton, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Alpaugh will be playing at home against Sierra at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sierra presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Alpaugh in California (Sierra is ranked ninth, while Alpaugh is ranked 68th). Laton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
