The Riverdale Raiders lost against the Cape Coral Seahawks back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Riverdale took a 70-51 bruising from Cape Coral. Riverdale has struggled against Cape Coral recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Riverdale still got an impressive performance from Konnor Vonhagen, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was Vonhagen's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamar Underwood, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Cape Coral's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Austin Arringdale-klein, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Joseph Silva was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 7 rebounds.
Riverdale now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Cape Coral, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverdale's road trip will continue as they head out to face East Lee County at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (East Lee County is ranked 545th, while Riverdale is ranked 527th). As for Cape Coral, they will head out on the road to face off against North Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
