Riverdale fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against McComb on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 10-9. Even though they lost, the Falcons' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Evan Reiter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Riverdale has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for McComb, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10-1 record this season.

Riverdale is taking a road trip to face off against Cory-Rawson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons are facing the Fighting Hornets at the right time seeing as the Fighting Hornets are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for McComb, they will host Toledo Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
