Softball Recap: Woodridge's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Woodridge can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Coventry Comets as they made off with a 12-3 victory. The Bulldogs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27th (when they won 11-1).

Olivia Wagner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Sadie Honeck was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Kaiana Tucker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Woodridge's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Coventry, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Woodridge will square off against rival Streetsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Coventry is set to challenge their familiar foe Field at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
