Kirtland had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Northmor Golden Knights 41-7  on Friday. The Hornets'  victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet  this season.
 It was another big night for  Jake Laverde, who rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since back in August.
 Kirtland pushed their record up to 15-0 with the  win, which was their 18th straight  at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 46.2 points per game. As for Northmor, they moved to 14-1 with that  defeat, which also ended their 14-game winning streak.
 Kirtland will face off against Coldwater at 10:30  a.m.  on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average, (Kirtland: 8.1, Coldwater: 10.6) so any  points scored will be well earned. Northmor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
