Clare was forced to take a big loss against Pinconning on Friday, they got the better of them on Friday. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 13-2 win. Considering the Pioneers have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Clare's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Pinconning, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-5-1 record this season.

Clare and Pinconning should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings.
