Basketball Game Preview: Faith Christian Falcons vs. Tri-State Christian Huskies

Faith Christian is 10-0 against Tri-State Christian since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Faith Christian Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tri-State Christian Huskies at 6:30 p.m. Faith Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.2 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Faith Christian strolled past Rockford FIRE HomeSchool with points to spare, taking the game 72-54. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the FIRE are ranked 462nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carson Bivins and Isaiah Schuler were among the main playmakers for Faith Christian as the former shot 6-for-9 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards and the latter went 12 of 18 on his way to 25 points and four steals. The game was Bivins' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Fassler, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points.

Faith Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Tri-State Christian beat East Moline Christian 43-35 on Tuesday.

Faith Christian pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tri-State Christian, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Faith Christian against Tri-State Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 58-23 victory. Will Faith Christian repeat their success, or does Tri-State Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
