Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Copper Basin

Copper Basin had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against the Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Eagles. That's the fifth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 5-3 win on Friday.

Copper Basin got a massive performance out of Madden Beach, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave Beach a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley Akens, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Copper Basin's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season.
