B District 1 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Skutt Catholic extended the longest winning streak in B District 1 this week by beating Seward, 38-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Gross Catholic was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Waverly 28-6. The Cougars came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 43 last week.
Ralston's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Josh Krzemien threw for 149 and two touchdowns and Jake Goltl had 66 yards receiving. On the ground Isaac Wallace chipped in 215 yards. Andy Chleborad helped Ralston's passing attack out by catching one ball for 45 yards.
Zach Flott made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Rams beat Bennington. The 6-foot-5 junior grabbed two sacks.
Ralston's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Krzemien has thrown for 558 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Goltl has 18 catches for 368 yards. Wallace leads the league in rushing with 693 yards.
Skutt Catholic took down the Bluejays 38-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
