It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines can now relate to. They took a 16-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fillmore Central on Friday. Wilber-Clatonia has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Carter Skleba threw for 178 yards on 11 of 27 attempts. Cooper Palmer was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fillmore Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luke Kimbrough, who rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns. Fillmore Central also got a significant boost from Trevor Roach, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 107 yards.
Wilber-Clatonia's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Fillmore Central, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Wilber-Clatonia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fillmore Central will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Malcolm at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Malcolm will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
