D2 District 4 (8 Man) recap Oct. 23, 2012
Osmond extended the longest winning streak in D2 District 4 (8 Man) this week by beating Stuart, 56-20. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Tigers.
Osmond was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. Charles Curnyn's team beat the Broncos 56-20 earlier in the week.
Wausa's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Marcus Claussen threw for 192 and two touchdowns and Trevor Wakeley had 152 yards receiving. On the ground Claussen chipped in 169 yards. Austin Conn helped Wausa's passing attack out by catching four balls for 30 yards.
Wausa's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Claussen has thrown for 1223 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Wakeley has 21 catches for 423 yards. Claussen also leads the league in rushing with 1165 yards.
In 169 carries Alex Kunz has accumulated 958 yard this year.
Winside took down Newcastle 74-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
