Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East View). They took down the Pflugerville Connally Cougars 53-38 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their 13-game losing streak.

East View's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-16. As for Pflugerville Connally, they dropped their record down to 0-20 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

East View and Abilene will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. East View has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Pflugerville Connally, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
