Cerro Gordo/Bement's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Haylei Simpson led the charge by scoring 19 points along with two steals. Simpson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Hill, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Argenta-Oreana has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season. As for Cerro Gordo/Bement, their win bumped their record up to 18-11.
