Cody Howell and Seth Blunck provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Carroll. The connection went for 73 yards, the longest such play in Hoosier Heartland this season.
Tri-Central's Garrett Kelley rumbled for the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Cougars last week. Kelley's team topped Carroll as he sprinted for 55 yards on the play and finished with 152 in all.
Steve Keown's team's dynamic duo of Brandon Dillon and Kreed Switzer proved to be unstoppable against Tri-Central, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dillon threw for 193 yards and Switzer had 115 yards receiving. Justyn Wilson helped Carroll's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 38 yards.
The Cougars' dynamic duo of Dillon and Switzer proved tough for George Gilbert's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Austin Hoover was a force in the backfield as Sheridan topped Clinton Prairie.
Hoover was a passing and rushing force as the Blackhawks beat the Gophers.
Switzer was the best receiver in the league this week as Carroll fell to the Trojans.
Dillon put up the best numbers in passing as the Cougars fell to Tri-Central.
Hoover was the best running back in Hoosier Heartland this week. He ran for 260 yards on 33 carries as Sheridan lost to the Trojans. Garrett Chesney also contributed to the rushing game with 122 yards on the ground.
Tri-Central's Howell and Blunck have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Howell has thrown for 419 yards this season, while Blunck has 7 catches for 208 yards. Hoover from Larry Wright's team leads the league in rushing with 614 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Clinton Prairie takes on the Trojans. At the moment, Shaun Wines' team is in third, while Tri-Central is in first.
The Blackhawks were the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in the league. Sheridan defeated the Gophers 61-13 earlier in the week.
