The Edison Chargers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 38-7 win over Eastwood on the road. Considering Edison has won 11 matches by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Despite the loss, Eastwood had strong showings from Kadyn Donnell, who rushed for 140 yards on only 11 carries, and Caiden Maize, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown.
The win was the fifth in a row for Edison, bringing their record for this year to 11-1. As for Eastwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
Edison will be playing in front of their home fans against Coldwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
