Baseball Recap: Hixson Wins Going Away Against Walker Valley

Hixson barely beat Walker Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats blew past the Mustangs 10-1 on Friday. Considering the Wildcats have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hixson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Walker Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hixson will host Berean Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.57 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Walker Valley, they will welcome Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
