The home team had won the previous three meetings between Connersville and Centerville, and Connersville kept the tradition alive. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

The team relied heavily on Brayden Keller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Flanigan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Connersville now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Centerville, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Connersville will host Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Centerville, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Jay County at 10:00 a.m.
