The Sunray Bobcats were the 56-44 winner over the Booker Kiowas when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Sunray took a hard 55-39 fall against Booker on Friday. Sunray has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Booker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hagen Chisum, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Chisum has scored at least a third of Booker's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Aguilera, who scored 20 points along with two steals.
Sunray dropped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Booker, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.
Sunray will head out on the road to face off against Sanford-Fritch at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Booker, they will be playing at home against Gruver at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gruver will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Booker surely won't give up without a fight.
