Northeastern Clinton and Ticonderoga are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ticonderoga Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Northeastern Clinton is ranked 485th, while Ticonderoga is ranked 500th).
Even though Saranac scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, Northeastern Clinton still came out on top. Northeastern Clinton enjoyed a cozy 74-58 victory over Saranac.
Northeastern Clinton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Brown, who scored 23 points. Brown has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Colton Castine, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 68-40, which was the final score in Ticonderoga's tilt against Plattsburgh on Friday. Ticonderoga has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Northeastern Clinton's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Ticonderoga, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Everything went Northeastern Clinton's way against Ticonderoga in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as Northeastern Clinton made off with a 77-52 victory.
