The Liberty Chargers lost against the Gateway Panthers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Liberty took a serious blow against Gateway, falling 49-12. Liberty has not had much luck with Gateway recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, Liberty still got an impressive performance from India Smith, who scored seven points along with four steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Smith posted two or more blocks.
Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Gateway, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will take on Osceola at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gateway, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hagerty at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Hagerty is ranked 106th, while Gateway is ranked 123rd).
