The Colby Eagles will face off against the Sublette Larks at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Colby has four straight victories, Sublette has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Colby's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Hugoton 14-0. Colby might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Ryler Carter made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles and two RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Madison Hull was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenley Moss, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Colby was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hugoton only posted a batting average of .350.
Meanwhile, Sublette scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Lakin, falling 22-14. Even if the Larks couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Colby's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Sublette, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
Everything went Colby's way against Sublette in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Colby made off with a 15-4 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Larks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
