St. Stephen's & St. Agnes has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the St. Albans Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (St. Stephen's & St. Agnes is ranked 30th in Virginia, while the Bulldogs are ranked 34th in District of Columbia).
Even though Landon scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, St. Stephen's & St. Agnes still came out on top. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes took their contest against the Bears 70-63.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Stephen's & St. Agnes to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyan Bowman, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Riley Jacobs, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Albans pushed their score all the way to 79 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 87-79 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sandy Spring Friends. St. Albans just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
St. Stephen's & St. Agnes' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for St. Albans, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
St. Stephen's & St. Agnes beat the Bulldogs 87-80 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Stephen's & St. Agnes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
