Greene Central dropped their record down to 13-8 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 3-0 to the South Central Falcons. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.

As for South Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For South Central's part, not much got past Christian Chance, who gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep Greene Central off the board. Chance has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jamari Hukins was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Rahkeem Williams, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
