On Friday Lewisburg will take on Saltillo at 7:00 PM. Lewisburg are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.
Last Friday, Lewisburg came up short against Center Hill, falling 17-27. Despite the defeat, Lewisburg saw an underclassman step up: Sophomore Blake Speed rushed for 141 yards and 1 touchdown. In fact, with 13 tackles Turner was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Saltillo, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to four. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 12-41 punch to the gut against Lake Cormorant. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a suprise as Lake Cormorant enjoys a considerable advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Lewisburg took their contest against Saltillo the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 34-10 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lewisburg since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
