Sadly, the Everton Tigers are still looking for their first win of the season after 24 matchups. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 49-26 walloping at the hands of School of the Ozarks on Monday. Everton has not had much luck with School of the Ozarks recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Everton still got an impressive performance from Josh Daniels, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Daniels has scored all season.
School of the Ozarks' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Timba Saffle, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Caleb Widner, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Everton's loss was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-24. As for School of the Ozarks, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
Everton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against New Covenant Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully Everton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Monday. As for School of the Ozarks, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Halfway at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
