Covington hadn't done well against Brighton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Cardinals. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Covington now has a winning record of 12-11-1. As for Brighton, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11-2.
