The Alvord Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Archer City Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alvord will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Last Thursday, Alvord got the win against Chico by a conclusive 11-4. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won three in a row.

Makayla Gresham made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jayden Peters, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, two triples, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Bella McDermott was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs.
Alvord kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Archer City entered their tilt with Electra last Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Tigers 19-4.
Like Alvord, Archer City also got a great game from a two-way player: Addison Canada 2027. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Canada 2027 was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Brilee Canada 2027 was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Addyson Peters 2026, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Alvord's record now sits at 6-10. As for Archer City, their record is now 8-9.
