Troy won the last time they faced Wellsboro and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Trojans were the clear victors by  a  14-7 margin over the Hornets. Considering the Trojans have won six games by more than six  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
Troy got a great performance from  Frank Harper as he  tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   six  hits.
 At the plate,  Brendan Gilliland was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  doubles. He has become a key player for Troy: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  stolen bases, but 3-4 otherwise.  Joseph Frye was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles.
 Troy  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Troy's record is now 7-4. As for Wellsboro,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-7.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will take on Athens at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7  runs per game  this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wellsboro, they will challenge Mansfield at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
