Basketball Game Preview: Jupiter Christian Eagles vs. Boca Raton Christian Blazers

Jupiter Christian is 9-1 against Boca Raton Christian since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Jupiter Christian Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Boca Raton Christian Blazers at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Jupiter Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

Jupiter Christian saw some tournament action back in December of 2024. They walked away with a 63-50 victory over Berean Christian.

Jake Becker and Jordan Rivera were among the main playmakers for Jupiter Christian as the former dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards and the latter went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points along with seven boards and three steals. Those 20 points gave Becker a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Alula, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, Boca Raton Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Dreyfoos School of the Arts on Tuesday, taking the game 65-58.

Jupiter Christian better keep an eye on Joshua Good. He was instrumental in Boca Raton Christian's win, going 11 of 19 on his way to 31 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Good's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Jeemias, who put up 15 points along with seven boards and five assists.

Boca Raton Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.

Jupiter Christian's record now sits at 3-6. As for Boca Raton Christian, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Jupiter Christian has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 42.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Boca Raton Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
