The Chillicothe Eagles were the 42-25 winner over the Hedley Owls when they last played one another back in November of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Chillicothe fell 38-28 to Hedley on Friday. Chillicothe has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hedley can attribute much of their success to Maddie Moore, who scored 21 points along with 5 steals and 3 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which Moore has scored at least 25% of Hedley's points. Another player making a difference was Ashlee Holmes, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
Chillicothe has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Hedley, they pushed their record up to 2-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Chillicothe will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Northside at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Northside comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Hedley, they will be playing at home against Memphis on Saturday.
