Basketball Recap: Rauner Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Rauner and Baker, and Baker kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 35-34 to the Bobcats. The Wildcats have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nykirie Posey, who posted nine points.

Rauner's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Baker, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rauner will square off against rival Muchin College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Baker is set to challenge their familiar foe The Noble Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
