Baseball Recap: Sale Creek Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Sale Creek won the last time they faced Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Sale Creek Panthers came out on top against the Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots by a score of 10-6.

Axl Swiney was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maverick McCary, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Sale Creek pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Sale Creek will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Tyner Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Polk County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
