The GEO Next Generation Tigers lost against the St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. GEO Next Generation fell to the Hawks 45-39.
GEO Next Generation lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Quinniece Darby, who scored 18 points. That was a full 46.2% of GEO Next Generation's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Brianna Hawthorne was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
GEO Next Generation's loss dropped their record down to 20-10. As for St. Helena College and Career Academy, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. GEO Next Generation will square off against the Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Helena College and Career Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Kangaroos at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
