The Foard Tigers will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the West Lincoln Rebels at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Foard focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
Foard unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak. They were dealt a 67-37 loss at the hands of Bandys. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Foard has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kinzer Abernathy, who scored nine points along with seven steals. Abernathy set a new season high mark in steals with seven. Another player making a difference was Davoney Dellinger , who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for West Lincoln, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against Cherryville by a score of 49-39 on Friday. The win was just what West Lincoln needed coming off of a 81-39 defeat in their prior contest.
Foard's loss dropped their record down to 5-1. As for West Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Foard strolled past West Lincoln in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a score of 60-43. Will Foard repeat their success, or does West Lincoln have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
