Trinity Catholic extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Taylor. They blew past the Wildcats 10-0. Considering the Celtics have won ten matchups by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Caylee Barbe made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Casey Houghtaling and  Emma Simms did most of the damage at the plate:  Houghtaling  went 1-for-3 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI, while  Simms  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  Houghtaling a new career-high.  Hailey Wilson was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 Trinity Catholic was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taylor only posted a  batting average of  .062.
Trinity Catholic is  on a roll lately: they've  won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Taylor,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 15-10 record.
As of now, neither Trinity Catholic nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
