After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elyria Christian, the Herington Railroaders were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Centre by a score of 39-28. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Herington also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Leslyn Kremeier, who scored 20 points along with five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Herington's points. Tyler Urbanek was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
The victory got Herington back to even at 7-7. As for Centre, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Herington will take on Wakefield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Herington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. As for Centre, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Peabody-Burns at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Peabody-Burns comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last 13 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
