Baseball Game Preview: H-L-V Warriors vs. Sigourney Savages

The H-L-V Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Sigourney Savages at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

H-L-V had taken Iowa Valley down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Warriors took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Sigourney strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on Belle Plaine with a sharp 18-5 win. Fans of the Savages have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Sigourney pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for H-L-V, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

H-L-V suffered a grim 17-5 defeat to Sigourney in their previous matchup back in June of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
