Given West Bloomfield's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while Lake Orion is ranked 109th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Summer Davis, who scored 24 points along with two steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Indya Davis, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Oxford's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for West Bloomfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-1.
Oxford took a serious blow against West Bloomfield in their previous meeting back in January, falling 62-20. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of West Bloomfield's Kendall Hendrix, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
